In Chapter Five, The Battle, Batman and Catwoman retreat into Metropolis’s underground to face a mind-controlled Superman under Poison Ivy’s spell. Armed with a Kryptonite ring, Batman struggles to hold his own. His plan draws Superman toward the top of a skyscraper, where Lois Lane’s life is used to break Ivy’s influence. Once Superman regains control, they confront Ivy in her penthouse, where Catwoman’s quick thinking and Krypto’s loyalty help seal the deal. However, a shadowy, bandaged figure watches from afar — foreshadowing darker mysteries ahead.
